A passionate health advocate, Jennifer is committed to educating the healthcare community, research scientists, policy makers, and the general public at large about the stunning research accomplishments a handful of scientists have already achieved (and in record time), thanks to Zebrafish. From drug discovery for rare diseases (which often suffer from a lack of funding), to personalized medicine for cancer patients, to autism, addiction, and more – Jennifer wants to make sure everyone is aware of, and benefits from, this seminal research.
A lawyer by trade, Jennifer is the Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at EchoStar Corporation, the largest U.S. commercial geostationary orbit satellite operator, where she’s focused on telecommunications policy and spectrum management. Jennifer was named one of the industry’s Most Powerful Women of 2018 by Cablefax the Magazine. She’s also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, and has authored two published books, as well as numerous scholarly articles. She lives in a house full of Zebrafish and telecommunications paraphernalia with her husband, Dr. Eric Glasgow, and her golden doodle, Sophie. Jennifer is beginning work on her new full-length feature documentary, entitled When Wire Was King. When Wire Was King will examine the telecommunications market, from the introduction of competition to present day. The film will address how to continue to ensure, through a balance of technology and policy, that consumers have access to the most competitive, advanced telecommunications networks available. |
